“Andy and Jonathan delivered an engaging and thought-provoking session on wellbeing for staff, using personal stories to bring the topic to life in a meaningful and relatable way.

Their honest and authentic approach created a positive atmosphere that encouraged reflection and discussion, leaving our colleagues with practical insights they could apply both professionally and personally.”

What organisations say

Real feedback from organisations we have worked with

“When Andy first approached me as a business owner about mental health awareness in the workplace, it struck a chord.

Andy brings real experience, empathy and a no-nonsense approach to mental health in the workplace. A fresh approach that I knew we needed in our business.

We trialled the support circle toolkit in beta format, and it has given us a complete insight in how to help staff and improve conversations and awareness around us.

The mental health cost calculator is a real eye opener for any business owners.

We look forward to continuing working with Life First Then Work and improving our business.”

Lived-experience talks

When people are carrying more than they say

Real stories can open conversations that policies and presentations often cannot. These talks help people recognise pressure, burnout and the mental load behind “I’m fine”, making it easier to reflect, speak openly and seek support earlier.

Best suited to:
Staff events, leadership sessions, awareness days and organisation-wide conversations.

Support Circle: workplace peer support programme

When support exists, but people still do not know where to turn

Support Circle gives organisations a practical structure for everyday peer support. It helps people notice earlier, listen safely and signpost appropriately without turning colleagues into counsellors.

Best suited to:

Organisations that want a visible, proactive and repeatable approach to peer support.

Not sure where to start?

Most organisations begin with a lived-experience talk or a systems review.

We're certified in Mental Health First Aid & Advocacy (NCFE CACHE Level 2), with real-world experience in shifting cultures, not just ticking boxes.

Interactive mental health workshops

When people need practical skills, not another awareness session

These workshops help teams and leaders handle real workplace situations more confidently, including early conversations, managing mental load, supporting colleagues and creating safer team behaviours.

Best suited to:

Smaller groups that need practical discussion, shared understanding and clear actions.
